55 Harley Davidson panhead project mock up
I have finally gotten back to the 55 Harley Davidson panhead project. I’m building what I call a late 60’s style bobber. I am pre assembling fitting, aligning , adding tabs and brackets before any powder coat or painting is done.

I started The mock up with a vtwin replica “panhead” HM 1954-1957 rigid frame.
The front forks are 4 inches over stock.
Rear brakes are “Panhead” hydraulic drum FL 1958-1962.
Front brakes are stock mechanical left side drum “panhead shovelhead” FL 1948-1966.
wheels are replica black Star hubs “Knucklehead panhead” FL 1941-1966 with 300 x 16 drop center chrome rims and stainless spokes.
Tires are 500 x 16 Coker Classic.
Transmission is a vtwin “Knucklehead panhead” replica 4 speed FL 1941-1964.
Replica 3″ risers “Panhead” FL 1949-1959. knurled 12 inch ape hanger handle bars 1 inch diameter.
Next i will be alighning engine trans and rear wheel then
Adding a rear brake anchor plate and other mounting tabs and brackets to 55 the Harley Davidson panhead project.
